I was looking at an older Scout some time ago. Only site I remember is: Binder Bench at www.justinternationals.org Think I found more when I did a Google search; if I see any others that I bookmarked, I will pass them along. Didnt get the Scout as I already have 4 of the FJ40 Landcruisers.

Good luck and post your progress.

Pirate4x4 is also an excellent source of information but binderplanet or binderbench will get you on the right track for now. I have an IH myself and will find a way to have others I'm sure. Good luck, they are very fun rigs!

SCscoutguy will be a lot more knowledgeable on the earlier Scouts than myself (mine are of later vintage). But thanks to those that recommended me. :)

Since I'm a member of binderplanet.com and know the quality of info there, I will endorse them. It's a great site. Lots of knowledge and very friendly.

Being you are in Iowa, you might try seeking out a dealer that has a mechanic that worked on Scouts in their heyday.
