Finishing off the basement that was stubed for future bath during initial construction. Does the quote below seem "fair" for plumbing work? I know they do good work, don't really want to waste time (mine/others) getting a bunch of quotes if this is in the ball park. Thanks.

Estimate to finish basement bathroom and bar sink to consist of the following:

1 – Mansfield 135-160 elongated toilet with Church 585-EC seat – biscuit
1 – Mansfield 267-4 oval sink - biscuit
1 – Delta 520-MPU-DST faucet - chrome
1 – ProFlo PFT332273 two compartment sink – stainless steel
1 – Kohler K-15073-P-CP Coralais faucet – chrome
2 – Strainers
1 – Frost proof lawn faucet on east side of house complete w/3/4” pex pipe from well area
Drain & vent to be pvc
Water lines to be pex pipe
Shut off valve on toilet & sinks

Total amount for plumbing as listed above $ 1,437.00

Where I am that is only $100-$200 higher than I would expect to pay. All in all not a bad quote.

Would it be cheaper if you bought the material?
I'd go with a TOTO toilet. Had very bad luck with Mansfield toilets in the past. I think there is a reason they are sold at Menards.

its not bad, a little high but not crazy. whats the access like? because if theres a tight stairwell or something like that the cost was adjusted because its a pain gettin material in.

perfect example. the co i worked for installed a tub on the first floor of a bullding in nyc, a month later we were asked to install another. the people were friends and talked price, the lady was pissed when she realized she was bing up chraged for the same job. my bosses response, its a 5th floor nyc walk up, a cast iron tub and a tight stairwell. your paying to get the tub up there, the install is free
