By now almost all of the US is aware of the quake in Japan. I hope it's not as bad as the news portrays it. God be with the people of Japan. My prayers go out to them.

Anyone here on the West Coast been evacuated or affected by the tsunami warnings? I just heard the sirens sounded from Hawaii (heard this overnight on the radio when I couldn't sleep) and up and down the west coast of the US and in Alaska.

Don't we have a member that is currently a pilot on an airline in Japan? Can't remember who he is at the moment :headscrat

Nevermind - it was Jeremy (jrmylmach1) - he posted to the thread in Free Parking. Glad to hear he's OK.

Checked in with my son near Santa Cruz, he said the harbour sank about 6 ' of water, lots of boat damage, so far about $15 mil in destructions. The only good thing about this that the Gov/defence got off their *** and set up a good warning system.
