OTC 4312A 12 ton bottle jack leaking.

The seal kit 520887 is discontinued. Jack is about 5 years old and I probably paid $50 for it so I can't complain. Is this HF http://www.harborfreight.com/12-ton-hydraulic-bottle-jack-66480.html that I can get for $24 with a coupon as good any other low cost model? And what about a high lift double ram model on Ebay like http://www.ebay.com/itm/Strongway-H...id=100005&rk=3&rkt=6&mehot=ag&sd=272544824243 Are they are durable as the single ram models?

Just take the jack components to a hydraulic shop. Most seals are standard items, and they'll probably just have to measure the diameter of whatever it's sealing to get the correct one.

I'd image that would cost more than a new jack seeing there are a dozen pieces in a seal kit.

O rings are basically pennies each, and seals are cheap.

Mostly seal rings and o-rings, and a few washers. Just take the seals to a local hydraulic shop and see if they price them out. Most of these things are standard items.
