OTC Genisys EVO questions

So I picked up a Genisys Evo the other day, and I have a few questions about it.

First, It has version 5.0 software and 2009 domestic and Asian software installed, but not European. Do I need to buy a new smartcard, or is it possible to buy a used smartcard from someone that already used installed it on their unit.

Second, the keys are sort of working, but the enter and exit keys require multipole pushes to work at times. is this an issue with these or do I just have a dud? I tired to call OTC and order a new keypad, but they don't sell parts for it. They want me to send it in for repairs. Does anyone have any idea how much that will cost if its just the keypad (and it is)

Third, It seems like a decent unit. not as sophisticated as the snap-on verus we just bought for work, but for a everyday tool I think its still useful for the majority of cars I see at work (a general repair and tire shop). Does anyone have a review or any other thoughts on weather or not to send it off for repairs or just use it as is.

Lastly does anyone know if OTC plans on issueing anymore updates for this unit. It looks like 2015 was released, but I'm not sure its still being supported. I know its considered old tech at this point, but from the last two weeks of me using it at work, it still seems able to keep up with my day to day tests (live data, component tests, and service light resets.)
I know it cant do programming, but we don't generally get into that type of work unless the customer is stuck. What other limitations does this unit have that I haven't yet discovered???

That's it. I'd love to hear some reviews or info on it. I also got a Genisys touch at the same time, but have decided to sell it as it has pretty bad reviews, and I have not been able to get any info on fixing its issues.

Thanks in advance!
