I have had the OTC one for several years I use one of the tools much more than others I would buy the OTC branded one it is warrantable by the Matco guy (lifetime) if you have an issue not sure about the HF but much of that stuff seems to be only warranted for 90 days

I just bought the OTC set last month. Have only used it once but am very happy with it for the price. I would spend the extra and go with OTC.

HF is 90 days, lots of bad reviews, but some seem to like it fine with the caution of greasing threads and not using impacts only hand tools.

I have the HF one. It is OK, but some of the threaded rods have bent.
Also, the price has gone way up on the HF one. If you have Amazon Prime, the OTC one on Amazon would be the better choice. The only other one I would look at/for is the Danaher/KD/Napa/Gearwrench labeled one. Look for "41690 front end service kit" They all use the same part number.

Edit:
The kit is heavy, so look at the shipping costs. The ones on ebay kill you with that.

I'm a big HF fan but with only a $17 price difference and free shipping/no tax from Amazon, I'd get the OTC set.

Just purchased the KD front end service set below

http://www.tooltopia.com/kd-tools-41690.aspx

The price is comparable to the HF set. I haven't had a chance to use it but it's visually better than the HF set at the local store. It's manufactured in Taiwan if that plays a role in your decision.

Can you see what kind of warranty the KD set has?
Just wondering, I will need to replace my HF set at some point.

I bought the previous version of the HF set (red case) for $40 when it was on sale. It seem to be of better quality than their current version. I have not use it yet, so can not really comment on its durability. It was made in Taiwan.
