Got this in the mail not too long ago, and I have to say I'm impressed. I had heard mostly good things about OTC, so for 80 bucks, I figured I'd give them a shot. Their fit and finish is fantastic. I still have to put them through the paces, but I have a feeling they are going to last quite a while. Don't really like that they are from Taiwan, but they seem quality enough, and I can't justify taking out a second mortgage for a truck brand Torx set.

OTC makes a ton of stuff. There should be an OTC tool truck. They have just about everything for the auto tech and shop.

That's a lot of torx. Don't got mortorq though (not that you'll ever need it but it exists; apex sells the bits for 20 bucks a pop!). Unless it does have mortorq sockets then I will agree it is the master. That is a complete set of e torx though, those are pricey to find with any kind of quality.

I'm trying to find out where they use mortorq besides those hubs on the stage 2 kits for the supercharged cobalt ss/ion redline. They sell more than one size so they have to use them somewhere else might not be car related though.

thats not a bad deal at all, might have to add that to the buy it soon list. i dont deal with torx bits often enough to buy one of the pricier sets, but $80 for a complete set is definitely do-able

All new 2015 Jeep Cherokee uses Mortorq bolts to hold the seats in. I guess I'll have to look for this set for work.

I have the VIM set. Compared with the OTC set it lacks the Torx Tamper resistant set.

Not that I've ever needed that type. Just the first thing I've noticed

I dont think that set does have the penta torx stuff.. I've seen those very rarely anyway.
I have the Mac torx and torx plus set which was a bogo deal back when I got it. They look identical to the OTC sockets and I was even told that TOC made them for Mac. Now when I break one (I've broken a lot) the Mac guy gives me a chrome replacement which doesn't say USA on it. They are made by VIM I think
