OTC Socket ID?

I picked this up in a box full of really big sockets this weekend at the flea market and this is the only OTC socket that I can't identify. It is 1/2" drive, 6" long and weighs nearly 4 lbs. The only numbers on it are "oTc DRK-0930-9000-00". Does anyone have any idea what application this socket is for? I am guessing some sort of axle/hub nut of some kind?

This is what I got in response from oTc.
Hello,

It was discontinued in 1984. It was 41 mm. System does not give any other description or details. It was not part of the OTC Aftermarket Div. It retailed for $141.

I still really have no idea what its application was for though? Oh well I will just stick it in the drawer and maybe sometime in the next 30 years will have a use for it.

Edit: I guess after looking at this it could be for Bud Wheels? But why only 1/2" drive though?

Well I guess if I can't find the application I might put it on my desk as a interesting looking pencil cup. It is one huge socket that is for sure.

Looking through stuff on the internet the only thing i can think of is cam-fired injectors where they sit in the head with the valve springs and such around. Maybe it's extra-deep for clearance?

I know this an old thread, but I found it looking for a good maker of 41mm sockets. The camshaft sprocket nut on bmw m30 engines requires a 41mm deep socket if you want to spin it off with air tools./\
