Other Angle Wrenches on SnapOn.com

So while I have some money and a student discount I was thinking about picking up the complimentary 4 way angle wrenches for the standard combos in my took set. And when I searched for "Angle Wrench Set" I got these numbers as well:

SEARCH on Snap-On

233-1635 7 piece CAT Angle Wrench Set for $54.40 (CAT Link)

233-1636 CAT Angle Wrench Set for 99.60 (CAT Link)

MTFSW11K 11 piece "Vendor Brand" for $269.95

MTFSW11KM 11 piece metric "Vendor Brand" for $340.75

MTNOK15KM "Vendor Brand" for $431.80

Now I knew that CAT angle wrenches were rebadged Snap On but holy cow look at that price difference! The CAT page wont quote me unless I sign up for an account so maybe that's not the sale price at a CAT dealer but even buying them off the Snap On page at that price blows the Student Technician price out of the water. I don't know if my school rep would care if I tried to slip the part number into an order, I think I'll have to try, what do I care if it says CAT on the side?

CAT Catalog PDF Gives specifications for the different CAT part numbers, and now the plot REALLY thickens! The 14 Piece CAT angle wrench set (SAE) is HERE on Snap-On, I think... it's just described as "Tool Set" and a "non catalog item" so I don't know if it can be bought off the website or through a truck guy. The -1635 and -1636 Angle Wrench Sets are both 7 piece but with different sizes, all SAE.

The "Vendor Brand" ones are a mystery to me though. I don't get any hits on google for those part numbers and "angle wrench" except for a link to a GearWrench catalog that did not show any angle wrenches. I wonder who else is pushing Snap On angle wrenches.

Do any of you guys have any ideas where those wrenches are going? And does anyone have any experience with the CAT-on 4 way angles?

The part #'s don't turn up on the Martin Sprocket product library, and the angle wrenches they list are 15/60 not 30/60. Martin also uses OB and BOB prefixes on theirs it looks like.

Pretty sure Martin makes Williams angle wrenches and also pretty sure they sell Martin sets in their RWD catalog. If the catalog links showed something more then almost nothing, I could be more sure about my opinion.

VSSJIM, looks like your right about the Martin Tool set. I snooped around SnapOn.com and they have other ITEMS for them with the same prefix.

I called customer service and they cant get the CAT branded items, and did not think the truck guy or the industrial guy could get them either. He was also pretty sure they don't qualify for the student discount lol
