other options?

Hey Folks,

OK. I have read a lot here. Lots of information. I have a question. I think I am going to go with the epoxy but only because I can't afford the racedeck stuff. What my question is, are there other less expensive options that one can go with on the garage floor?

I do auto work, wood work, and welding/machining, so something that stands up is preferred, but something that is very cheap and could easily be swapped out is interesting to me also. I was thinking about some of the stick on tiles or just some old carpet that could easily be tossed out when I was done. None of those options seem to be any good when compared to the Epoxy.

I just wanted to be sure I was considering all 'affordable' options before I get into it.

Thanks
Richard.

I had a brainfart on the way to work today... what about coating the floor with the same material as truck bedliner? :wtf:

You could but it would be expensive. Herculiner is $75 a gallon and only does a 6' truck bed which would be about 36 sq ft. I may be wrong with the sq ft because of the sides, but it sounds expensive unless you could get some bulk deal.....I bet it would hold up really good though.

I have done some major reading and talking to different folks. I am on the fence between stain and a sealer and the epoxy from Rustoleum. I am leaning towards the stain.
