It tha might fill the kids' bike tires ok. Other than that, they are made for airbrushing. Low power, quiet, low PSI... sell it on eBay to someone who will use it. It won't perform too well for much else.

My dad says they used to use compressors like that to keep water out of wiring conduit on the flight line. Hook that up to an essentially air tight conduit and it provides 'positive pressure' in the conduit to keep any ground moisture out.

Sorry, that doesn't really help much with your problem, unless you happen to own your own airport. But I thought is was a cool story, when I heard it as a kid.

You can easily use that to pump up sports balls and, well, that's about it. I suppose it could inflate a car tire at 32PSI, but not even a bicycle tire at around 50PSI.

Pulled a brand new Badger 180-11 out of a dumpster.....get this, the factory hose had a hole in it,so it got tossed?

Anyway,we do a fair amt of airbrush work.....but am too lazy? to hook up the little Badger(got a new hose, duh),opting for big AC.So,it lives in our reloading rm,where it provides just the right amt of air for clearing jams on presses and such. They can be used in "gunworld" for cleaning as well.....where any problem bigger, usually justifies a trip to shop.

I was thinking I could use it for cleaning air filters and spraying off other stuff. It's nice and small so it would fit on my workbench without taking up to much room. I have a bigger compressor that my dad gave me. He used it for engraving back in the day. It doesn't have a tank. Just the motor so I use that for filling up tires and it does a pretty good job. I just don't want to see it not get used.

Someone gave me a similar compressor (hft brand). Sad to say, it's not powerful enough to use with my preval air brush for a touch up work. Even for blowing off dust, you might end up spending time just to clean off dust from air filters. I would rather stick on a compressor with tank and air blow gun to do the job. Or maybe yours is more a heavy duty one and mine is not. I might try it to fill up sports balls. To inflate car tires, you might want to jack up your car first.
