Not with that screwed up Instinct handle. :wtf:  I buy any other version to avoid the Instinct handle.
I had to look it up, I've been out of the business for almost 20 years. Mine has a solid plastic handle which I prefer. It looks like they discontinued it and only offer a soft handle now.

Actually was reading the title of this thread wrong and was not aware of the wide tip option. Mine is just a pointy tip.

Ikon makes a Snappy clone kit. $60

With the wide tips like Snap-on, Lisle or Lang? I didn't see anything on their website except normal hose picks.

Snap-on SGA102BR wide tip radiator hose pick set.jpg Lisle 82130 Wide Tip Hose Spoon .jpgLang Tools Hose RemovalInstaller Tools 854.jpg

The Lisle seem to be functionally the same/very similar to the Snap-on. The Lang seem to be better tailored only for large hoses.

Any links to the alternative?
Lisle 82139 - $17.03 (made in China)

Lang 854 - $49.59 (made in USA)

Snap-on SGA102BR - $93 (made in USA)

This thread got me to go ahead and order a set of the Lisle's. For the price seem the best fit for me.

Dang brother - that's a strong post. Thanks for all the links.

I look at the Lisle and the handle immediately makes me hate them for some reason. I can see pros and cons to the narrower tips vs. the Lang too. You already have a Lisle set?

I've had the Lisle set for over a year and no issues for home use. As a good GJer, I bought them when they were introduced 😆. I don't care for the handles, but for the price vs Snap On, I can deal with it for occasional use. I also have at least one hard handle pick type, a generic brand, that I never use.

No, I just ordered the set. That's why I had all the links handy because this thread got me wanting a set like that and I was comparing them. There really seems to be very little difference between the Snap-on and the Lisle except the handles and the COO and the $76 price difference. This video I ran across makes that point (or should I say the wide tip) pretty clear ...

I put those lisle in my basket, I won't use them enough to even justify buying them. I have a Mac ratchet with that style handle I like it.

I made my own dome pointed and small spoon tipped (shaped from flat tips) from some low cost hard handle screwdrivers with S2 blades (bend/shape nice and no plating peel). add a grinder, gas torch & emery cloth & you done in few minutes and at a price/quality/design/coo of your desire lol .
Can do bends/lengths exactly as you want and smaller spoons work better in most scenarios vs large spoon .
don't buy any snapon tools which have the instinct style handles, older handle designs were great in pro environment and a top quality effort, the newer handles **** considering the cost & you going need have a pretty reliable long term dealer for warranty be butter smooth/worth the cost .
