I have bought some tools from members here and all were great experiences. Unfortunately, I have to rate my transaction with otis66 as a FAIL. I bought a Snap On scraper set from him (http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=117845) a few days ago. The set was described as "brand new and never used no markings" but when I received it, the scrapers were apparently used with deep cuts and scratches on the handles. I tried to PM otis66 about this but never receive a reply.

Man.. I can tell from the Pics in his original Classifieds that they arent New. I wonder if he just made a error in the Listing?

I bought some Craftsman Metric Stubbies recently from Otis and everything went well..

I just received a set of SK palm control ratchets from Otis66. They shipped the morning after I paid. They arrived fast. Really fast. They were well packed and even contained the plastic tray in the listing with no mention or expectation of doing so. They were as described and fully functioning. He answered every PM quickly. There was an issue as to buyers order for the sale and to my knowledge all parties are now satisfied.
I think he is catching on fast to selling here and I would buy from him again.
IMO, Otis66 = Pass.

Apparently I am not the only person to have an ISSUE with Otis66!! I posted up on his listing for three (3) Wright ratchets a day ago and was the first person to post with a PM about taking the ratchets. He did not get back to me with an answer about where to send the cashier's check for payment. I re-PM him this a.m. and he finally sends me a message that he "Cannot" accept anything except paypal and that he is new to internet selling practices! He has almost as many posts on this forum as I and several others do and he is claiming that he is new?? Nowhere in his avaitar or in his postings did he plainly say "I only accept paypal as payment". He apparently wants to be deceptive from reading the previous members comments about his listing! Lets call a spade a spade and not renig on deals/listings on this forum.!! Be cautious about who you deal with.:(:wtf::spit::sad:

I'm always cautious with who I deal with. I am very new at selling anything on the internet/web. I do not take checks of anykind from persons unknown to me. I do not accept checks from people I know. You can pay with an E-check through paypal once the check is cleared and funds are in my paypal account I would ship to you.

I must repeat what I indicated in my PM-"I don't do electronic funds" only CASHIER'S CHECK! I can understand your concern for wanting PAYPAL, however cautious you may be for a e-check you probably have never had a dead beat seller on Flea Bay like I had! Paypal screwed up my e-bay account for over a year $32.00 over a mis-represented item and threatned to mark up my credit rating! They have the last word when it comes to power seller status and in this case the power seller was a large seller who screwed everyone that they came in contact with. Hence the reason why myself and several sellers on here don't use Paypal/Fleabay or any electronic funds!
Back to the subject matter of the ratchets-If they haven't been sold to someone else-I would be ONLY able to send you a "Cashier's Check" for the total amount you asked for-If not, sell them to the next guy who does funny money!! Your choice-you are the seller-If I ever made any enemies on this or any other sites I always apologized and made my mistakes correct-I don't mis-represent myself or any of my listings and I allways indicate that I take usps or cashier's checks for payment in my listings. Maybe you should indicate your terms for payment to alleviate any further mis-understandings in your posts. Thanks and have a good day!!

I bought a ratchet from Otis66, no problems at all, good communication, and super fast shipping. I would buy from him again.
