Oulet location for a two post lift?

Curious as to where/how your lifts are wired. I was debating throwing up a 240V outlet directly above one of the towers and dropping the cord down to it?

Hardwired on dedicated line directly above lift

I installed a dedicated line above the post that supports the pump.

Hardwired using metal flex conduit from ceiling with disconnect switch mounted on column.

Outlet mounted to ceiling (twist lock) above the post, cut off switch mounted on post next to "up" button - in case the button ever sticks!

Yes my button once exploded and welded the contacts in the on position. I have a CB mounted on mine near the switch as well.
