here's some pics of what we added on.
my wife said i could add on to the garage as long as she got her addtion, also.
we blew the roof off the existing garage and added a master bathroom (22x24).
then we had to fill it up.
Jacuzzi, sauna, two person shower/steam, tanning bed, fireplace. 15' of double bowled vanity.

What is the ceiling height of the garage with the Goats parked on the hoist? The reason I ask is that my existing garage only has 8' ceiilings but we are planning on adding an addition to it this year. BTW...Nice looking garage and GTO's.

How would you compare the 2 lifts that you have ??

Looks like 1 is a Backyard buddy, and the other is a direct lift??

Both good??
One bad ???
Just curious.

32,
the BB is much better in quality and design.
i like the locking system on the BB.
check out this site...
http://allamericanlifts.50megs.com/page2.html
very similar to the BB.
the DL does wobble quite a bit. i'm thinking of welding larger base plates to it to see if it will give it more stability.
i don't want to bolt it down. at least, not yet.
i use the DL for storage only. the price was right. $900.00, 2 yrs.old. guy was re-locating to the west coast and had no room for it.
all maintenance and service work is done on the BB.

Elky,
the tanning bed was my idea.
in the spring my wife would be going to the tanning salon up the street.
i figured we had the room for it so i had the room prewired for the bed.

david

p.s. i'll reload the pics later, had to be a bad connection cause they're real clear on my end.

p.p.s. i reloaded the pics and they're still blurred.
even though i'm at home now.
any ideas?

Elky,

she gets these toys...i get my toys. LOL

Snorvet,

Here's a Photoshop'ed one with some cranking on image and sharpness.

Very nice garage and addition. I've though about doing something like that . . . my house comes out like a T with the living room. I'd love to square it off and extend garage out and add excercise/hot tub room above garage. *Sigh* It's only money.

Well at least it's filled with cars and lifts, not boxes of trash and furniture!

BTW, do you use plywood underneath the lifts to protect the tile? Hell tile might be cheaper than the plastic garage tiles, and it looks great!

Fullback,
If you mean the last pic, the cars were raised only enough to raise the door all the way and be able to store stuff under them while I tiled the new garage.
On the new side I raised the rear of the track approx. six inches in order to get the cars high enough to park the others under the lifts.
