GerTom - Nice looking garage. You could get more light from those florescent fixtures in the ceiling if you dropped them lower. Right now, a lot of light is being trapped by the shape of the beams in your ceiling.

First we thought it is too dark. Then we took a bright wall color. 8 fluorescent and 4 halogen lamps. Because of the bars on the ceiling we need a lot of light.

We can not hang the ceiling lamps deeper because the garage is too low.

I like it :)

The floor and the garage look great! I suffer from the same problem in my garage - a low ceiling. How has it worked having the lights on the wall? I had been thinking about that as well.

It works very well. Actually, that's enough as lighting.

The fluorescent lights are very very bright
