Wow. I just found this site today. Love it. And then I find a post about my two favorite things, garages and VW's. Cool. Here's a pic of my toy box

Great little garage. I sure as heck wouldn't mind opening my garage to those two cars in there! lol

Looking over this thread I didn't realized how many classic VW owners there are. Lots of nice cars everyone!

Holy rear camber!

Beautiful car!!!
It's rare to find a car guy who hasn't owned a VW at some point in his (or her) life.
I'm a car enthusiast and I have worked on many personally to know better than to buy one... well a newer one anyhow.

I love older VWs, Busses, Bettles, Gina's, all the older ones are great.

BTW, nice Porsche. The 911s always were my favorite but I still like the newer ones too. Love how even though they went through so many changes they still look like a Porsche. :D

Nice to see some ACVW love here, surrounded as we are with a lot of high-dollar exotics/custom/muscle.

I made it through about 30 cars and 17 years before the bug bit me. Wanted to build a Volksrod, so I bought a clean 64. Narrowed/lowered/trans raise, then I sold it...here's the new owner driving it off..

Realized I was insane to sell it, bought this the next day:

It'll be my first major project when I get the shop built, needs a pan half, IRS swap, will probably do a WRX engine swap too, make an AX terror out of it.

DM409, you're blessed! Nutty as a fruitcake mind you, but that's a beautiful collection.

Having had a 1963, and 1959 Beetle, guess I am on your side.

Nicola was on E-Bay and Volkszone International last night looking at Beetles and Karmann Ghias.

She has a 1956 Ford Anglia I bought her as an "engagement" present, and said she would trade it for a Razorback Karmann Ghia, or even a regular one.

The other aircooled VW I would love to have is a decent standard Notchback, or a Variant.

The tenious link for today is that my Ford Taunus Transit was designed by the same guy who designed the split window VWbus. After Ford poached him from VW.

Something different..... 1172cc and about 30bhp. icola's 1956 Ford Anglia "Myrtle"

However, I know we will have another Aircooled VW sooner than later.

I thought I'd managed to avoid owning one -- until VW bought the company that made my car.

Now I guess I've got a VW garage, too. :)

Hmmm...hadn't thought of it that way. I guess I'm a V-Dub owner too...or I WAS one!:bounce:

P.S. By the way, why do my pictures come out small? I want them to show up larger like Jack's above. Someone explain please.
