Why are Trusty Cook dead blow ball peen hammers out of stock? Trying to buy some, might have to look else where. Any ideas?

Out of stock has occurred a lot in the last year and a half. Not limited to dead blow hammers

probably something else as in they can't source it cheap enough to be profitable...
it seems, Grizzly have this same problem with their lathes... almost every one of the mid class are out of stuck or "arrives soon" for past 1+ year..
As they're MiUSA and the Suez is more of a pipeline for Europe/the Med, I kinda doubt it.

I guess. I don't see the value in making up excuses they haven't communicated. One of their guys has been on here sorta-regularly, and the sense I get is they're very "run" driven. Maybe they had a big order to fill for one of their OEM clients
I have several of their dead-blows, and I really like them a lot. As a small US-based maker, I'd be willing to be patient if I could.

Very true, I mailed a package to another member in CA, it was at his post office 10 miles away and to be delivered, next day it was in Texas and they blamed it on Covid.

Supposedly raw materials are harder to get within the past year, or prices have gone up to a large extent.
I’m not sure were Trusty sources their plastic, which presumably could be an issue, but the steel used for the internal construction might be and issue, either due to supply availability or cost.
