We had a Case IH disc ripper for a few years. We could not keep it together. I spent as much time fixing it as using it! It went down the road to be someone elses problem.

For us it’s more of a rock finding issue than anything. I roll out rocks the size of semi truck tires with the chisel plow. A ripper has the ability to hook a bigger fish and tear itself apart while reeling it in. Hell I’ve dug out some 2’ diameter rocks with the Wishek disc lolWe had a Case IH disc ripper for a few years. We could not keep it together. I spent as much time fixing it as using it! It has been bonkers nice the last week !!I drove by Mike's exit a couple times this weekend. It’s cold up there lol. Supposed to warm up some this week though I think. Mexico would've been nice for sure until the craziness hit.
Glad to hear it all worked out !! We flew from MSP to Cancun and about the only good thing about MSP is the customs office is always open.I just got back from Puerto Morelos (20 miles south of Cancun) visiting my folks who snowbird down there- we must have just missed you! The craziness started the day we got there, and we got a message to shelter in place the first full day we were there, but it was changed to just the affected states a few hours later. No issues where we were. However my flight home was supposed to be a 4 hr direct flight, that ended up taking over 10, with a stop in DC because the customs office in providence was closed by the time we would have gotten there. I was glad to be back home in the snow when we finally got there too!

Sales guy offered me a new pin when I showed him the pictures. I said “sure but only if it comes with a brand new 3046r wrapped around it!!”Strange that it past quality control with no hole. Guess they didn't grease it or the robot doesn't measure the amount of grease that went in before hitting a PSI or some type of measurement sensor to determine its properly greased.

They call it a bidet!OUCH!!!! Get Well Soon....**** wiping is gunna be torture when you get that wrist done!
Maybe they make a tool for that? LOL!

I’m quite happy so far. Never thought I’d be able to do this less than a week after surgery.WOW that is an amazing result!

I asked what it cost if I wanted to leave a fat roll of Benjammins and he said “$6500 and we won’t turn it in to insurance”.Got to love the advancement in medical technologies. Just a shame it cost so much without insurance!

It’ll carry around 200lbs in “delivery mode” so at least my fatass won’t be able to hang from it lol. It’s got a 20gal spray tank and a 180lb capacity dry spreader. What's the weight capacity for the drone? Any clip points on the drone for a harness?
No particular reason, just curious....![]()

$6.10/lb or $1,875/ea. Guys that have high livability can still afford to pay $1,500 for a bottle calf. There is still profit to be made, not a lot but some for sure. What did you have to give for those Holstein calves? I have seen bottle calves going for $1,500 around here.
I am not buying any bottle calves this year . . . . .

Calves by well more than doubleSo what was more expensive, the drone or the cows?
There's lots of drones showing up around here but I think they are finding the limits of them. They started out charging really cheap rates, now they are more than ground rigs.
Range and flight time will depend on payload and ferry distances. If it’s isn’t flying real far before it starts to spray it’ll empty its entire 20gal tank before the battery is low.The drone is awesome! What kind of run time and range on a battery? I guess 22kw is needed to charge 2 batteries for no down time.
At least you spent the money first, now you have to hit the books. sounds like fun!I’ll be posting all kinds of stuff about this once I learn more and get some hands on experience.
First things first though. I gotta get my Commercial Applicators License as well as my drone pilots license and a heavyweight exemption because it’ll be over 55lbs. And a Class 3 medical so I can fly in the dark.

I won’t mind studying and a lot of it is review at least as far as the core commercial tests as I have a private applicators license already. The aerial and a few others will be all new stuff. At least you spent the money first, now you have to hit the books. sounds like fun!
It really wasn’t that long ago I was buying 400lb feeders for $400. Now 300lb feeders are $1,875. I have around $900 in each animal to get it from 300lbs to 1550lbs and can contract them for $2.125/lb. That’s still over $500/hd profit which is bonkers with what is historically “normal”. The thing is now though that I have $110,000 ******* in those two pens for 12-13 months. That’s around a 15% return which isn’t bad for farming. On the other hand I could have stuck that money in a few mutual funds I already have money in and have gotten the same return with zero work lol.Martin, the first bottle calf I witnessed sell for $750, my mind was blown...40lb calf that might die tomorrow...WTF!?

For now spraying and spreading on my own acres. It makes sense financially to keep tires off the ground anytime possible. From compaction and rutting to actually smashing the crop when driving in it everything adds up as a loss. I figure it’ll cost around $5/a to run the drone over the ground so I don’t have to recover much lost crop to pay for that.So what's your plans with this drone? Spreading and spraying your own ground?
I still can't quite comprehend how they are charging those batteries so fast without running into problems. I guess I'm just used to older batteries.
