What are you guys using for insulation for your water well house? I've replaced the doors on mine in the last week, and before it gets below freezing out, I want to insulate the 4' x 4' x 8' area around my well tank, piping, and such. I've thought about the spray insulation since it is a fairly small space. There is a 48" wide access area with two doors that will be insulated, as well. The shed is of 2x4 construction, with 9/16" shed siding and 3/4" plywood floors.

Looking for something where all I'll need is a heat lamp and the pipe wrap to keep water flowing. Lowest average winter temp is around ten degrees F, but can get to -15F. Thanks!

I have regular insulation and the styrofoam split insul. on all pipe. Also get a double socket light fixture so you can have a backup bulb for when 1 goes out, bob

I'd think a simple bat of yellow R19 wall insulation between the studs and ceiling would be fine.

Excellent tip on the double-bulb light fixture.
Even at -15, I wouldn't think it would take too much effort to keep it above 32 degrees.

Thanks, that was pretty much what I had in mind initially, other than the bat insulation. Got a perfect opportunity to finish the job this weekend. The double-bulb fixture is a good idea.
