i live in FL and im having a problem with getting a ceiling fan that doesn't rust or blades don't warp/sag. i have tried 2 or 3 diff brands over the years and they all have one problem or anther.

main things
1- cost friendly.
2- no sagging/warping blades for outdoors.
3- have a light.
4- push enough air that you feel it.

i don't need nor want anything over the top or fancy. plain white is fine. they are going to be mounted in my porch.

the set i have now mounted have not rusted so they have held up in that way but the blades are shot and are breaking off bc of the sag. i wouldn't mind just changing the blades and keep those if i can fine a set of blades that will last.

let me know if anyone has some ideas what will work best for me.

Just for clarification, you are using ceiling fans designed for outdoor use? The reason I asked, a friend of mine had the drooping blade problem and I asked the same question. He had used indoor fans and didn't know there was outdoor specific fans, especially blades that can handle the climate.

Only fans I’ll buy anymore are hunters. Their quiet, push air, and last. Have 3 on my back porch and one on the front. Still look brand new after 2 years. Bout $130 iirc.

Yes. They all where made for outdoors and when I lived up north i never had this problem but since moving down south it been a problem.

The fan I bought before then one I have now was like 300 bucks. Bladed lasted but it rusted to **** in like 2 years and wouldn't push any air. Can't remember the brand. Was like 7 years ago.

I believe the humidity is killing your fans. As cheap as they are anymore, just plan on a new one every 2-3 years.

This hunter fan is under the gazebo on our pool deck, 6 years old and still looks like new. Blades are made of plastic and the only thing I do is wipe them off every spring when opening the pool. Fan was under $200.

Emerson Fan. I personally have 6 of the Emerson HF1160 fan. Friend has 2 in a 30x30. Another friend has 2 in a 24x24.

https://www.amazon.com/Emerson-Ceiling-HF1160BQ-Industrial-Barbeque/dp/B004NL0JDK

They have several models with metal or composite blades. I have 2 on porches at the house and 4 in the shop (40x60x17). Louisiana Gulf Coast humidity...

If you really need an industrial fan, the Emerson HF1160 is rated to be installed up to 40' high.

1- cost friendly. about $200
2- no sagging/warping blades for outdoors. _NO RUST_ Composite blades, no sag.
3- have a light. Not compatible with a light, most outdoor/industrial fans aren't.
4- push enough air that you feel it. almost 11,000 cfm, will part your hair (if you have any)

#1 and #2 are mutually exclusive for an outdoor fan in a very humid environment.

Buy, cheap and replace when it looks raty.

If the fan is OK, I would go with the new blades out of plastic idea.
A local marina may have some windscreen stuff that would work.
Bring in an old blade as a pattern.
