Anyone have a outdoor connection point for airlines on the side of your garage. What did you use to house the connection?

Yes, I have air at each end of my shop (external). A 3/4" line protrudes thru the siding at about 4' high with a ball valve attached for outdoor service. No enclosure, it is inside the overhang line.

This is how I anchored it in the 2X6 wall inside before enclosing.

I used plastic line underground to a pole and used a metal electrical outlet box, with a milton quick disconnect. When it's closed it looks like a regular electrical outlet with the weatherproof cover. I also used a ball valve inside .
You could do something similar , just through the wall.

I have never seen them protected.
They are pretty weather proof.

The two road service trucks we have at work have air line connectors all over them - no housings or protection whatsoever. Any kind of housing would be more for looks than function, I would think.

Just mount them with the opening down.

Stick a small rubber plug in them if you have a problem with mud daubers or other bugs.

Here is how they look outside. The 3/4" pipe and ball valve are stainless, unfortunately the valve handle isn't. I remove the plug and screw in the appropriate size quick disconnect or fitting. Shop external air outlets, East and West ends.
