Outdoor Compressor Hutch/lean-too/shed

So I have been building a hutch to get my compressor out of the shed as it is a smaller direct drive unit and freaking loud, which is not appreciated by the rest of the family (downside of an internal access garage) or me when i am in the shed (have been known to wear earmuffs when using for any decent length of time).

Climate here where I am is pretty mild so no issues with freezing or anything else.

Now I have the structure built and I was going to skin it in a flyscreen type mesh to ensure it had plenty of air flow around it; however after putting it place today I have become aware how viable it is to the road and anyone that happens to be walking by. We don't live in a bad area but just don't think just anyone should be able to see what is in the hutch.

So the easiest way is to clad three sides in plywood.

Question is, am I going to overheat the compressor, or am I worrying about nothing?

NOTE: Pretty much the entire structure to date has been built out of scrap and cost me a grand total of the nails and screws so the construction is a little rough in places. Nothing paint cant hide.

1 side open is good. Maybe install a couple louvered vents in the opposite wall for some cross ventilation? Also check your air intake filters often.

Do the three sides in plywood, insulate with either foam or fiberglass and install louvred vents. That's what I did and it was perfect. No noise for neighbors or honest people to be tempted.

You could sheet it with plywood and add a return vent grill to each side and maybe one on the front for plenty of air. they should be pretty cheap at Lowes or HD

Put a roof vent on it. louvers on the bottom sides. I would also make the whole unit taller so you have better airflow.

Use regular window screen so bugs cant get in, then I'd make Louvers for all three sides for ventilation. JMO

Cheers all, thought I was over thinking it a little. Got to be honest I was gong to make up louvres for the front and two sides, but it started to feel like too much work for what was meant to be a simple structure, also I am starting to run out of materials and begrudge the thought of having to go buy any at the moment.

This hutch structure is perfect for compressor machine. Is it made by you own ? ? ? ...

Yea mate I have knocked that together. As I said nothing special just timber left over form some other projects (most of the timber was from a workbench that I made in my last house).

Great idea on the insulation. I have some stuff that will be perfect lying around.

Lattice would help to keep it hidden, and provide plenty of airflow.

Was thinking of a lattice, I might still go down this route.
