Outdoor garage lights

I am installing outdoor light fixtures on each side of my garage doors and I am not sure of the correct height

Put them what looks good to you and woks to give you enough light
Mine are at 6 foot

Decorative or all business? Uplight or downlight style? Spot/flood?

The top should be even with a 7' or 8' overhead door. 9' and higher doors depends on look and what else is going on with garage detailing. Floods should be high.
