Hey everyone, I needed some advice on some outdoor lights that I am wiring up. Thanks in advance for the help!
So I recently bought new outdoor porch lights to replace my old ones (The old ones both worked). I wired the left side up first- black to black, white to white and connected the ground and put the bulb in and it worked fine. I move on the the right side and hook it up the same way and put the bulb in. The right side now lights up and I am getting 120v while the left side does not light up and gives me no voltage. So i reset the circuit breaker, check for any tripped GFCIs and find none, double check all my connections but it seems as the black wire coming in to the porch light is not live on the left side. Both of these lights are turned on by one switch in the garage.
Could it be a bad switch?
Thanks again and any advice is appreciated!
