Outdoor lighting ideas

Hi everyone. Been trolling for a long time and finally getting to complete my build!

Looking for suggestions on outdoor lighting. Trying to decide between soffit lighting over the doors vs wall mounted in a lantern style. Or both? Looking for pictures and examples. Also if anyone has any examples of little roofs/covers over the doors I would like to see them.

Garage is attached to our house, all in the process of being built. Best way to describe the look is historically inspired New England farmhouse. Not going for modern farmhouse but more of 19th century New England farm. Window grids will match the house, white vinyl siding with pvc trim around doors and windows, veneer stone covering the foundation.

32x48x12 with bonus room trusses. In floor heat. Doors are 2 10’s and 1 12’. Three bays for three vehicles but dual purposed with wood shop on right and meat cutting/summer kitchen on left.

We're finishing up our build and it sounds similar in style to yours. I decided to go with both. The wall mounts have Edison bulbs and are strictly for ambiance and don't give off much light. The soffit lights are nearly invisible until we turn them on when hanging out in the driveway at night. Its really nice to have the option.

We have soffit lights on the house, and lanterns on the garage. Im still thinking about adding soffit lights to the garage as well just not sure about it yet.

Dusk to dawn motion sensed is the only way to go.

The lanterns came from Wayfair, sold under a couple different names.
