I recently finished installing High Bay UFO style lights inside of my shop. I would now like to install some lighting under the awning out front. My goal is to install something low profile, so the lights won't hang down and interfere with clearance.

I've added a couple pics to show what I have going on--my main question is if I were to install some linear style lights, but on their side (essentially directly attached to the sides of the purlins) would that significantly interfere with the throw of the light? As I'm typing this up I was thinking I could also just make or buy some L brackets to attach to the purlin then hang the light as intended--a few extra steps but I'm assuming it would be worth it. Anyway, any other ideas are welcome!

Here are the lights I am looking at: https://www.amazon.com/HYPERLITE-Wa...110-277Vac/dp/B08DCKK961?tag=atomicindus08-20
