Who is using what for wall mounted exterior lighting. I'm trying to decide what would be best for my building. I am back leaning towards motion lights but have never had good luck with them, unless I always busy buy too cheap of one. Other issue is I can't decide on placement. The side walls are 10ft so that doesn't really give much height to allow light to cast out very far unless using a spot light imo

Normally I'd say place in a soffit..but not sure there's that much overhang.

Is it possible a yard light would work (sort of like a 16' 4x4 set in the ground, or a metal pipe/tube) with a light on top?

Are you looking for a big flood light to cover the area in front of the garage, or something that just washes down the wall for security purposes.

$100+- at HD.
Motion or not, your choice.
Three led packs are steerable to put light where you want it.
Some have two bigger, less steerable, packs.

Have you had good luck with those? How much area will they light up?

I have no soffit on she'd. I think I'm after a flood style light.

Not sure if I want one over each door or one on each side or just one over walk in
