I have been purchasing solar light to mark the entrance to my driveway and up light some trees. I have used cheap AMAZON solar light, they work fair and last a season. I have purchased some better solar lights and they also work fair and last a season.

I am going to run power top these areas and install low voltage lights. Looking for suggestions for both light to make the left and rigth of the driveway and also the up lights on the trees.

I would like to be able to set a dawn to dusk schedule and control them from an APP on my phone.

can anyone recommend a system or line of lights they are happy with.

Thanks

Landscaping lights seem to come in all flavors but each is dedicated to do one thing. If you want to uplight some trees, buy lights for that purpose. I like buried ones but I could be convinced otherwise. To flood the driveway, some tiered lights might look nice.

I hope landscape lighting has changed because the old 12v transformer stuff is an energy draw. I'm throwing mine out as they die.

With LED bulbs, the total energy draw with 12 volt transformer systems is not very high at all. I have 8 in different parts of my little front yard. Some of the bulbs draw one watt each. The biggest ones are 5 watts.
