Outdoor load center?

Stupid use question. Adding a small load center Siemens w0204ml1060. 60amp. I have a 50 4 wire circuit coming from the main panel and will add a couple of 20amp legs to feed my wife's pond. I read the 4 wire docs and that makes sense but I run into (my ignorance) problems with the ground. See picture, there is a bus for neutral but only a screw for ground. Is there some way to add a bus to that so I can have multiple grounds? Thanks in advance

Siemens makes busses that can be added. The sheet that came with the box should list what is approved. Places like HD stock the bars.

I should say that Siemens makes 'ground' busses that can be added as approved.

Thank you, I think after watching some more videos I saw you could add them. I will head to Lowe's and see what they have should only need 4 connections. The material printed in the lid identifies ecgb5 (5 terminals) as compatible as you stated. Thanks a lot I was starting to panic. Lol

that green screw and metal strip is for BONDING neutral to the enclosure. has nothing to do with a ground bar

you need to buy a ground bar thats listed/labeled for that panel. the hole threaded hole in the lower right corner should be for the ground bar

It's a technicality but I have to say that they aren't busses but buses. It's a bus bar. Buss is a brand name of fuse or in other contexts to press your lips against anothers. But other than the (common) misspelling you are correct on the other details.

They typically come in different sizes depending on how many wires you need to land.

Now that I blew up the pic and see the tab, that is correct, of course. What would throw someone off is the green screw if you didn't look closely, which I didn't. So the question is, why doesn't that box come with a ground bus?

It doesn't need one if it is a first means of disconnect.

Or if it is used for 240V only the existing bar isn't needed for neutral and can be used for ground. The strap for grounding that bar is included which is a more likely case.

Yeah, I was thinking that and didn't include it for some reason.

A disconnect for an a/c or well would be a common 240-only application

Well, if you reread the first post it's for a couple of circuits for a pond of some sort. So this might be a sub panel but out in the yard. I don't think the OP was clear about how he was going to wire the panel. It only has 2 positions so if there is to be a disconnect it has to be a slim breaker. I suppose he could run a MWBC, but I don't really know.

If you consider the pond to be a pool, then a disconnect is required at least 5' away. He said 4 wires so I assume there will be 240v at the new box. With only 2 positions, that can be accomplished only with slim breakers. That's what I think I know. What I don't know would be worth further comments.

You'll get lots of answers on this, but the real reason is profit. The manufacturers can sell the panel for a little bit less, then stick you for another $10 for the ground bar when they could have it installed already for a couple of bucks. I'm at the point that I automatically get two ground bars every time I get a panel that's going to be a sub. Sometimes, but not vey often, I get a surprise and find the bars installed at the factory. I don't know how many times, but there's been a bunch, that I opened up a subpanel to find grounds and neutral on the neutral, with no ground bar to be found. Then I'm digging through my van trying to find something that will work.

Some, but not very many QO MLO panels come with them. Those panels are so few and far between that I can't remember which ones they are but I do occasionally open up the box and find a factory installed ground bar.
