I have been reading all of the posts related to flooring hoping I would find the "perfect" solution to my garage needs. I have a 22' x 22' garage, which 1/2 will be used for general maintance-detailing and the other 1/2 for a show-display of collectibles. Would the Marine Outdoor Carpet hold up to my needs. The car would be washed outside and the detailing would be done inside. Your thoughts and comments please. :headscrat

I don't think any carpet, marine or otherwise will work well in areas where cars drive over it. The carpet will compress very quickly under the weight of a car tire, and will surely look terrible quickly.

I do use indoor-/outdoor carpeting in my garage as a covering on the steps and landing. It catches some or most of the dirt, and cleans up quickly.

But I never get a car near it.
