Outdoor outlet

I have a small back yard and only two outlets. One by the refrigerated air unit on the side of the house and one on the back porch. My back wall is about 20-25 feet away and I would like an outlet on that back wall. The outside outlet is recessed into the stucco wall. Would I just find a.box to bring it out and get some conduit that would tie into the bottom of the box then run it to where I want an outlet?

Do you have an available and appropriate electrical supply? If you want to tap off the supply to the Refrigerated Air Unit, you may need a disconnect and over current protection.

Yes as long as your boxes and conduit are rated for wet locations you can surface mount from an existing outside outlet. There are a few other ways to do it as well, all with their own set of requirements.

A neutral is not likely to be present, & the OP mentioned a box in the stucco, weatherproof box extensions are made that would allow conduit to be run to the desired location.

The highlighted areas are current outside outlets. Disregard the highlight on the left that was made on accident. The top portion is the wall I would like to have an outlet at. I will get a picture of the outlet here now.

This is the preferred outlet I would tie into

If your house was wired like mine, that outlet next to the A/C condenser is just a convenience outlet for the A/C repair guy. It has nothing to do with the A/C condenser. A weatherproof box extension, conduit and wire rated for outdoor use should work fine for extending it to another surface mount box.

This is what I am thinking the outlet was placed there for. I thank you for the suggestion of the extension, I didn't know that such a thing existed. Do the extensions come in various sizes? This one seems excessively recessed

Yes the extension rings come into a few different sizes. You could also tap off an interior outlet and recess the new outlet.

I will get a better picture in the morning but I think I will get this one extended so I can run a conduit out the bottom then out the side of the poarch and straight to the wall in the back. Guess I will have to take a measurement of how much extension I need.

I don't know how you would be able to put an extension on the box in the photo, and even if it were possible it would look like ****. A better bet would be to go to a receptacle that's inside and add another off of it on the outside.

Have to agree with that.

There is one on the side wall which would be easy to do that with actually. My thought process was to keep all outdoor outlets on the same breaker for whatever reason.
