Outdoor Overhead Service Runs - conduit question

Hey folks
sorry in advance for the verbiage..
I've got a detached 20x22 garage that currently has a janky overhead run. I've been reading the threads here through the search function - I know what I need to replace it with to do everything correctly as far as wire size, breakers, disconnects, GFCI, grounds etc....I'll have an electrician helping me but I want to try and plan for most of the raw materials ahead of time.
I'm restricted to an overhead run due to numerous patio/driveway/asphalt/concrete structures between house and garage.

What I can't seem to find are pictures of how people have run conduit up the walls, and entrance/exits to keep things clean.

Right now the run leaves the house at basement level, strings up the side of the house through the roof soffit and out the side fascia around the corner - then over to the garage, just two wires, no guy, and a ball of electrical tape in the middle, definitely not 13' above the driveway...

I've seen a lot of rigid conduit coming out of rooftops - is it possible to mount to the side of a house?
Does anyone have any pics of their overhead runs and what they've done to clean up where the service wire enters/exits the buildings?

we hang out between the house/garage a lot on the patio there so I want to keep it clean, just looking for some pictures and advice

cheers
Zach

You need a weather head on top of the conduit then the wire needs to be looped down so any water runs away from the conduit/weather head and drips off. If you are going directly in they make a piece of sheet metal with a rubber boot that you run the wire into, still need to do the wire loop trick there too.

does anyone know if there is a minimum distance from the roof edge it needs to be? I could run straight up through the existing hole and exit through the roof with proper conduit but it would be pretty close to the edge of the roof - is that legit?

Is there a good way to properly mount the rigid conduit to the side of the house fascia rather than up through the roof?
