Outdoor Plug Box Porch?

First let me say that I am behind times with what is new out there for mounting an outdoor plugs on our porch. Our porch has 10’ and 12’ roof plus overhang. So no direct rain would hit it. But there’s always that chance during storms. Wire is on inside so drill hole to come through exterior wall, but then what? I sure would like to have a box that is resist in wall and just cover is showing. What’s out there for me to try accomplish this? Looking for suggestions that has work for you. I don’t mind ordering nor picking up at local HD or Lowe’s Thsnks for help

+1 on Arlington. Look at their product line. They make versions for flat walls, stucco, vinyl siding etc. Horizontal and vertical versions etc.

I like that.

My porch is similar to the OP. Initially there was a 10x10 PT block with a box insert, can't recall the cover. I replaced them with a PVC sheet (haven't resided yet) with an old work box and a weatherproof in-use cover. I hate how much they stick out and will probably be changing at least the cover.

Yeah, another thing I hacked together a few years ago....

These Arlington boxes aren't the cheapest, and aren't available locally, but damn do they work perfectly.

Supply House has been a good supplier too

Edit: just remembered I backed into my barn light with the tractor ROPS, it survived the winter but is hanging funny. Guess I'll order a new box too

I cobbled together an outlet set up for our Costco pavilions we installed a couple of years ago. Added a box extension to a porch light, tapped into it with plastic flexible conduit, ran it along the eaves and jumped it over to the pavilion. I wired an all-weather box up high under the roof to keep it out of the weather. You have to turn on the porch light to power the outlet but we rarely use the outlet anyway. We have a couple of strings of those outdoor edison string lights under the pavilions that are plugged into the outlet. Problably not the best set up but it works for us.
