Wondering if there are other offering except the Arlington and Taymac. Have used the Arlington previously and it's just OK .. it has a really cheap door. The Taymac is new to me and has a nice design ... but having seen the other offerings from them I know the door is really cheap.

I'm using the fantastic Aquor product for the outdoor hydrants ... somebody must make a decent solution for a new construction outlet. I'm into hiding services on my projects.

I quit using the Arlington ones for the reasons you mentioned. The doors break and what happens when they change the design.

I just flush mount a standard device box and use either the expanding in use covers or a regular old flip cover if I can get away with it.

Where it does not matter I have used the midwest metal ones. They will take twin outlets or an outlet and switch .... and you can't kill them. Lowes at one time sold them .... some are labeled GE

With code they will want the in-use cover. I may be able to get away with only one .. and use a midwest near the meter box that I'm going to enclose.

Arlington makes some nice stuff -- innovative. Not the covers ..... I'm surprised how cheap they all have become.

This is the midwest -- they look like a disconnect.
