New member here. I'm hailing from south Florida.

I've been reading/lurking here for a bit trying to gather as much info as I can for a big garage update.

There is a ton of neat ideas and info here that I've taken note of and will be applying to my garage update. This is a great resource!!

Here in south Florida with the mild climate and all we (us Florida crackers) do tons of outdoorsy things (fishing, diving, hunting, boating, camping) and it takes quite a bit of "stuff" to accomplish these things successfully.

That means areas for working on buggies, airboats, offshore boats, and areas to rig baits and build some of the gadgets needed to have a successful hunt or fishing trip. Not to mention storage for all of these items and tools.

So I guess what I'm looking for is some ideas on how other sportsman are setting up their garages or shops to accomplish this.

Thanks for the feedback. Ryan

Welcome to the site.
I'm not much of a sportsman, but I would think having your garage or workshop in FL,you would at the very least start out with an adequate A/C system.
Good luck

Like anywhere, as big as you can. Airboats, boates, campers take alot of room. I would also build a safe room to store your guns, rods etc. and have a place to hid when the next huricane comes. Reinforced block walls, tuff building codes down there.
