Looking for advise about my overstuffed tool box i currently have the hf top and bpttom 44 boxes there's no more room and i know the easy answer is to add on the 7drawer side cab but the problem i have is in my big drawers mainly sockets and wrenches my wrench racks are all double stacked and the small drawers on the end cab won't cut it...I'm looking at getting the 56 inch box and selling mine but would i be losing space

Can you do us a favor and post some pics of your current drawers, might be able to offer some organizational advice. And yes, you would probably lose a little space just making the switch.

Why don't you just buy another harbor freight 44. Little space taken up but you double tool storage

I say get another 44 to. I'm in the same boat plus I have the full height side cabinet and have way way to many blow mold cases. I need another 44 and another side cabinet. And maybe a 7 drawer in the middle. It's just those side options never go on sale. I am like you to that I have to dig through stuff. Looks nothing like them snap on guys where there's an inch space in between every wrench.

You'd be amazed what you can do with some wire racks from Dollar Tree and some electrical wire. Might free up some space you never knew you had...

X2, some coiled wire for wrench racks and metal shelving for pliers can really open up some drawer space.

If you are looking for more in^2, you can't beat a lista or similar style industrial cabinet. Their storage capacity for the floor space they take up is unsurpassed by any traditional tool box.

If you have multiples of the same wrench I found years ago that using foam and making cutouts so you cam stack the wrenches 2-3-4 deep actually saves space

This, it's amazing how many guys at work say they need a bigger box and you believe them until they open it up to show how crowded it is. I see more guys have either all the plastic snap on trays which take up a lot of room or they have drawers of useless parts and hardware that they could walk ten feet to go get or will never use. These people get payed hourly so using the excuse that "I keep these drawers full since it saves me time" doesn't work. Most of them just want a bigger box to keep up with everyone in the shop.

What about getting the HF cart to match. I went from full, almost stuffed, to 2 empty drawers in my Matco double bay when I got the Muscle Cart.

Yeah I would just buy another one to add to the collection. But I'm also the guy with 3 2 bay boxes. 1 single bay box 2 side boxes and 1 side half locker plus a red HF cart. But my stuff is well organized. Stand up socket holders wire racks for pliers and wrench racks plus a few items stacked on top of one another.
