I need to run some outlets down one wall of my garage.

very old wood building with no insulation or inside walls, just 2 x 4 with siding

I need 2 inside and 2 exterior.

can I run one line for all? or should in and out be separate?

Exterior need to be GFI?, interior also?

what do I need to go thru the wood siding to the boxes?

thanks

You can run one circuit for all. Best tool for cutting the siding is a keyhole saw, jig saw or a vibrating multi-tool. Since you can access the outside box from the inside, just run it out flush and use a nail on type. There's a metal box with nail holes at the very top and bottom that you can nail in from the direct side. New construction boxes tend to favor the side they face AFA nailing.

GFCI for all garage boxes and exterior boxes. Wire through the first one and they are all protected. If you can, I would put the GFCI on an inside box. You must protect your wire either by running MC cable or flex conduit in the wall. You can run EMT, MC or flex on the stud surface as well.

Or you can cover the walls after your electrical installation with drywall or wood sheet goods.

Put all four on one circuit and have all four GFCI protected. Mount the two boxes for the exterior flush with the siding so they are inside the wall facing out and use weather resistant covers. You can use NM cable for the circuit if properly protected.
