Outlooker spacing.

Hi all. Quick question.
Getting ready to frame out my gable ends.
What is the correct spacing for the outlookers?
Should they be spaced 12", 16" or 24" o/c?
Shop is 18'x24'. Roof overhang is 18"
Gable has been dropped 3.5", with trusses spaced at 24".
5/8" T&G roof sheathing if it makes any difference.
I am located in a snow location. Hell we just had more snow last Friday?

We use 24" here and were in snow country also.
