I have just finished building my shop and I'm about to start on the electrical. I have two outside lights I want to install. One dual flood over bay doors and a farm light over man door. Simple enough but on both locations there is a rib in the metal siding right in the middle of were I want to put the light. I did search but found nothing. I know I'm not the first to run into this. Is there a good way to do this or?
Thanks

Make a "biscut" to fit over the rib and mount the light to it. Paint it nice and caulk it so it wil look semi-profesional

I'm guessing he means that you take a block of wood and notch the back side to fit the rib. I'm sure I could do this, I would just think there is a ready made product for this because I'm sure we are not the only ones to run into this.
