Outside pole light issues

Got one of those mercury vapor light on the pole outside the shop with the electronic eye and the crazy thing comes on early, like 45 minutes or so early and goes out about an hour or more after the others in the area go out. What would cause this?

The photocell is covered up by an adjustable shade. They covered the lense so it comes earlier and goes off later

Could be that the photocell, or as you call it...the electronic eye...is getting worn out. New ones are inexpensive and easy to find.
Also note the direction the eye is pointing. Typically, they are pointed north. If yours is pointed in a different direction, then it will react differently then all the others in the area.

Ive had bucks nest inside a photocell which caused it to act funky.

See if the photocell is covered by bugs or their mess.
