Outstanding service from Tekton (MIT) Tools.

I bought this angle wrench set from Amazon:

When I received the order the 14mm was missing from the set. I checked the package again and the outer box from Amazon and there was no wrench. I figured it got lost somewhere at Amazon. Anyway, I called up Tekton (Michigan Industrial Tools) and asked if I could buy a 14mm wrench to complete my set. I explained what had happened and they said they'd send me out a wrench at no charge via FedEx. This in no way was their fault and they still took care of me.

Now that's what I call outstanding customer service!

Tekton has had some presence on here, and the service seems to be great. Probably part of the reason I have bought some big socket sets from them lately.

I didn't expect the wrench for free, I was just happy to actually talk to a person who could help me out. I'm so used it companies not caring these days that I usually don't bother even trying. I now have faith that some companies do care about their customers and that's refreshing these days.

Thanks for the feedback. It's never awesome when something like this happens, so we try our best to get things right.

First and foremost I'm a tool user, so poor warranty service is a real sticking point for me.

As a fairly new Tekton customer stumbling on an old post like this gives me confidence that I made the right decision upgrading to Tekton Tools. This is a company that has figured out what the average tool user wants in a tool company and built their business around customer service. I primarily only buy Tekton tools now because this is the service I want if I should ever encounter a problem.
