Looking for a pair of coveralls like I used to wear in the 80's but cant remember the brand names that were good.

I don't want them to be too thin so that oil and atf just soaks through, but I don't want them so tight that you cant reach up while laying on a creeper.

Not really for warmth at all, just something to take the brunt of drips and dirt.

I've heard of Dickies but don't remember if they're any good.

Dickies are good, just make sure to get the ones with a zip, i think they are thicker than the ones with just buttons.

I only shop at Tractor Supply so I only know the Schmidt and Carhartt brands. And I only buy their winter coveralls. But they do carry summer work wear too in those brands.

I used to like walls but they switched to a vertical zipper all the way from top to bottom...hate that. too uncomfortable for those of us with a gut...no adjustment...bought a pair from sportsmans guide as they were the old style with regular buttons and drop down front, but they are really thin...gonna have to hit up the yard sales this summer to find a good used pair in the old style...
