Hello everyone. Been a member here for years and posted a few times, but never introduced myself properly. I'm originally from Tennessee but currently living in the D.C. area. I was a self employed residential/commercial electrical contractor for 14 years before going to college and becoming an RN. Wiring a house for a college professor one day and he asked me if I wanted to be crawling under houses when I was 50? Well, I didn't. I'm currently active duty Air Force and have been for the last 5 years. Working on my Doctorate in nursing anesthesia now.

Me and the wife own a modest place back in Tennessee that we rent to a friend where I still have a 20' x 30' shop I built before coming in to the AF. It's full of my tools, motorcycle lift, and Harbor Freight toolbox this site talked me into. I'll try to do a build thread on it some day when I can get back there and take some pics.

Anyways, appreciate all the info I have gained from reading here and hope to continue to feed my garage/shop addiction for many years. It helps me get thru the day since I don't have much time or opportunity to get dirty anymore. Hoping to one day retire and build my dream; if I can figure out which one of the hundreds of Sketch-Up buildings I've created to build (my dreams change by the day according to what I want to do in it and how much I think I will have to spend after putting the kids thru college.)

AF: just keep posting and learning about us as we learn about you. i don't remember if this section was available when i joined cause i just started a thread and been posting ever since.

i'm pretty sure i've seen and read more than a few of your posts and don't recall if you were asking or teaching, but i do think they were informative.

keep up the posts and the work on your new degree.

cheers
