It's been a while since I've found more than 2 good tools at a pawn shop in one shot.
Today I found many!

13/16 Snap on deep socket
SK flare nut wrenches
Vintage double open Mac wrench (Sabina Ohio markings)
10" Mac tools adjustable wrench
Blue Point 3/8 ratchet (I think it needs a rebuild kit)
20" Proto extension

15$. So I'm happy!

I'd snag that extension alone for $15. Big ones like that don't come cheap.

Better than what I come across. Half the stuff around here is Harbor Freight stuff marked at or above retail. Regularly see tools in there 20% above retail. Either there are a lot of morons who pay stupid prices for stuff, or they don't really want to sell it.

I find Pawn shops usually don't have much really good stuff and when they do its usually expensive but once in a while you find a sweet deal.

The only pawn shops I re-visit are ones that have bins of tools (where they haven't really sorted them, they just throw them in)

Wish my local pawn shops were that good. I haven't actually been inside any yet, but I see their ads on Craigslist occasionally, and they want dang near retail for used stuff.

We are on our honeymoon in Long Beach, WA, and on my way to the grocery store I snuck into the local 2nd hand store and scored an original 1957 Chevrolet Shop Manual in really nice condition for $15. There was one little inscription on the back and some initials on the binding, but otherwise unmolested. It will be a great addition to my garage library

Same with my local pawn shops. Try to get new retail list price for worn out contractor's tool that look like they were run over by a dump truck on a gravel road.
