Overhead door gear broken

This gear is broken in my opener. I have a Python OCG series by Overhead Door. Some of the online parts sellers show it to be the same as a Genie...and that I need part number 27096a

Does this sound right?

What is that red grease that's used on those gears?

What is the proper lubricant for the chain and slide on this opener?

That is correct the new one will be white though. Pretty common problem for those and the red gear is just service grease I am sure any lithium style grease will work.
