Gang,

I have water coming in at the corners of the overhead door in my shop. I've largely ignored it up to this point but now I'm getting to the point I need to deal with it.

I a new rubber tube thing that slides into the bottom of the door and it works good, but it doesn't keep the water from seeping in at the corners. I have this thin 1/4" vinyl threshold I was going to use on my floor where my epoxy meets the dyed area of my concrete, but decided I didn't need it. I'm going to use this and I would like your opinions on what to use to adhere it to the concrete under the OH door?

The options I have on hand are 3M's VHB tape and some carpet tile glue I used to install my cove with. I'd like to use one of those so I can make this a cheap fix, but I'm open to other options.

Anyone have any real advice? I need to get this mounted today and I have to run into town to pick up some pvc fixtures at the box store. If there is something better I'd like to know before I head out.

I did put a test strip of VHB down to see how it will hold. If it is hard to remove, I may just go with that.

How much water are we talking about? Is this a grading, overhang, or guttering issue? Gluing rubber down at the door opening seems like a very temporary band-aid at best.

This doesn't answer your question but I saw what I thought was a good idea for placement of one of those rubber seals. He placed the threshold under the door and used ductape on one side to hold it in place. He then raised the door and flipped the piece over to one side, using the tape as a hinge and put the adhesive on the back side then flipped it back and closed the door and waited for it to dry. Just seemed like a good idea to me.

Appreciate it guys. I think I'm going with the VHB and if it doesn't work I'll peal it off and get the gorilla glue adhesive.

Dfiler that is a great idea, I think I will use it when I install it.
