I have narrowed down my search between CHI 2551 and Overhead Door 183.
Both have lifetime warranty on the door, though Overhead offers the same door with only a 20 year warranty also. The prices are very similar also. Is one better than the other? How to decide.
Thanks.:headscrat

Compare the details. R value, spring cycles, ga. Of hardware and door skins, inner and outer. Garaga uses wood styles embedded between the skins, and it's not pressure treated.
The small stuff adds up and will give you a better idea which door is a better value. They are both quality doors and should last many years. Hope this helps.

I believe they are or were the same company, one buying the other years ago.

Kkr owns CHI

Sanwa, a Japanese company owns overhead door. I think you thinking of Wayne dalton which is an over door company.

The biggest advantage of an insulated CHI(haas does to) is the joint between sections. It a tongue and groove stle joint and seals better than an overhead door with ship lap style joints. Most overhead doors I have been around one can see daylight through the joints after a few years if you look at the right angle

I can't remember if overhead uses proprietary hardware? I believe Wayne dalton does.

Haas and CHI use standard hardware.
