Overhead doors .....long lead times.

That's odd, we have stacks of tracks here but have trouble getting the doors. I was down in our warehouse and we have lots of tracks. Not a door guy so I don't know if there are different kinds of tracks for different types of doors but they all look pretty similar to me.
I think specifically it is the particular radius the need for the high lift but who knows.

So I tried to order 2 custom size overhead doors back in May 21, and the box stores said the lead times were up to 12 weeks. I checked back in September and they said it's up to 14-17 weeks. I called around to the overhead door companies 2 weeks ago and nothings changed. They said it's not the panels, it's the hardware that comes from China. I thought maybe with the Texas, Florida, and Louisiana ports unloading now, maybe things would move along better. I guess not?? I'm surprized there's no one on this forum building a garage or shop this summer that hasn't mentioned this.

Two 12x12 doors orderd August 4 late November doors came in with no springs doors were installed so I could close building up to get framing electrical etc done still no springs have a backhoe and car in garage cannot move out side doors are to heavy to lift without springs glad I don't need backhoe are car.

I ordered my door in June and it took almost 6 months to the day to come in. Sounds like the springs were the last holdup. Instead of 2 large springs it was delivered with 4 shorter springs.
