Overhead trolley and winch

I've just recently finished building a shop extension. We went full subdivision height so we could have a rooftop patio and that left me with a really high inside ceiling. Not quite enough for a two story but high for one story. So I installed a storage mezzanine the length of one wall. This shows the construction and how it is finished, including the lights on the ceiling.

This photo shows the actual construction. The wall on the left is a false wall to separate from the main garage during construction. It was later removed.

So my cunning plan is to install a trolley on an I-beam suspended from the ceiling via standoffs, then use a rope block and tackle to fly stuff into the mezzanine. I haven't solved the ladder design yet but that's later (probably some sort of library ladder that is mounted to the mezzanine but can hinge up and latch to the far wall/ceiling. I will have multiple motorcycles in there and I don't want to have to move everything around to jockey the ladder into position, just move it overhead into position and let the bottom down to the floor).

I've found the block and tackle I want at Grainger but I'm having trouble with a smallish I-beam and trolley. Not looking for a 24" wide flange, just something that can support 500# or so. The I-beam (or what-ever) will be mounted in multiple locations below the ceiling with standoffs to clear the lights.

Any suggestions?

If it was me I think I would install one of those wall mount ladders at the end so you climb up and then walk across the front of the mezzanine to get where you want to go.

If you do that I would be tempted to just install the rope and pully at the end right in front for he ladder and have a hand crank on it so I just pull things up then take them to where you want them.

A railing might not be the worst idea either
